Haithem Chaabouni
Entrepreneurship is a practice that drives the dynamism of economies and societies. Indeed, organizations, institutions, universities, and research centers are showing increasing interest in the phenomenon of entrepreneurial opportunity formation. The development of entrepreneurial opportunities requires considerable effort and has attracted researchers’ attention toward redefining the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship. The main conceptual objective of this research is to examine the processes that lead to the identification or construction of an entrepreneurial opportunity. This study contributes to the field of entrepreneurship in several ways. From a theoretical perspective, it provides a better understanding of entrepreneurial opportunity formation in Tunisia. Within the framework of entrepreneurial opportunity theory, two approaches were mobilized through an analysis of the key components underlying each of them. Furthermore, the methods used in the empirical section offer deeper insights into the formation of entrepreneurial opportunities, as well as into the ways entrepreneurs think and act.
